Colour is Light- Light on the Streets

Above are two street scenes captured by a photographer found on the Behance network. Being interested in photography myself, I have taken to noticing the lighting temperature or white balance of images that I look at. The lighting temperature in these two photos is intriguing. The top has a definite green tint to it from the street lights. I assume there is what must be pink light coming out of that blue looking box... that means the box's plastic is tinted with a colour that makes pink light shine blue through it! Tricky! The second image has a very yellow tint to it from lots of fluorescent/halogen lights around.
